Abstract: This research critically examines the challenges Algerian universities face in global rankings, focusing on visibility in the Shanghai, Times Higher Education, Webometrics, and QS rankings. Using a qualitative critical methodology, the study highlights the low placement of Algerian universities, emphasizing inadequate visibility of activities. Key recommendations include transitioning universities into research-focused institutions and leveraging diverse communication tools to enhance visibility. Improved visibility would elevate educational outcomes and global standing. The study concludes with strategies to enhance the rankings of Algerian universities, emphasizing the importance of productive scientific research and effective communication in achieving these goals.
