Infective endocarditis is a severe infectious disease and remains, beside therapeutic advances, associated with high mortality and severe complications. A retrospective case analysis investigated 30 patients who were presented and discussed in a weekly endocarditis board in a hospital of primary care. Adherence to the guidelines of the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) and outcome were analyzed. The study demonstrated that a regularly held endocarditis board enhanced the adherence to the ESC guideline. In the present analysis, mortality was lower compared to literature and could be considered as a marker for good clinical management.
