The larva and pupa of Euoniticellus intermedius (Reiche) are described and illustrated. Nesting behavior conforms to Halffter and Edmonds (1982, Publ. 10, Instituto de Ecologia, Mexico, D.F.) Pattern I; an egg is laid in a brood mass constructed at the end of a burrow. The egg chamber is much larger than that described for other species and is located centrally in the mass. Temperature is demonstrated to have a direct impact on longevity and fecundity of adults and upon developmental time of immatures.
