This article considered the issue of reintegrating non-functioning buildings, structures, and its’ groups into the urban industrial of cities in Donetsk People's Republic. The relevance of this aspect is determined by long-term processes of degradation of the architectural stock due to improper maintenance, lack of scheduled repairs and reconstruction, obsolescence of facilities, military conflict, and other reasons. Particular attention is concentrate on the negative consequences of non-operational buildings for the urban environment, economy, and social infrastructure. The article emphasizes the current lack of theoretical research and practical solutions regarding architectural reintegration in the Republic. This all aspects including issues related to regulatory and methodological support. Positive practices from international experience can be applied in Donetsk People's Republic. But it could happen only after analytical selection and adaptation to modern, regionally specific requirements. We are propose a scientific research program addressing this issue under current socio-economic and geopolitical conditions. The research presents any findings on the typological characteristics of non-functioning buildings and structures within the DPR.
